William’s research focuses on the development of surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) as a technique to analyse intra- and extra-cellular redox potential in organ-on-chip and hydrogel cell culture platforms. He aims to use SERS redox nanprobes to detect drug toxicity in a liver organ-on-chip, and apply them to studying redox potential changes in fibrosis hydrogel models.
