The Limpet has returned to London, but this time it was not being deployed at Imperial College London but being presented at the Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) in Offshore Wind Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Services event held in Institute of Mechanical Engineers Head Quarters.
After registration and a quick pick me up coffee, I had time to check my slides before grabbing a seat.
The event was chaired by ORE catapult, Test Facilities Director Tony Quinn ensuring a prompt transition between presentation.
The room was packed for the event with attendees from all different offshore and robotics sectors, all ready to see presentations from ORE catapult, Siemens Gamesa Denmark, Rovco and many more.
The Limpet presentation was midmorning the perfect time of the audience being awake from the coffee and not too desperate for lunch. The Limpet drew great feedback in the form of inquisitive questions and a few opportunities for further collaboration.
ORCA’s very own Prof David Flynn was chairing the panel on addressing the Skills gap in Industry and drawing together a lot of what was discussed during the day.
Tony Quinn provided the closing remarks before the attendees scampered for transport to traverse London’s rush hour for a journey home.
